ENGINES

DXi7 and DXi11 Engines
The new generation of DXi7 and DXi11 engines, available in 280 hp to 440 hp versions, produces even more power and torque to deliver the type of performance normally achieved by higher cubic capacity engines.
7.2-litre and 10.8-litre, high-pressure injector pump electronic injection engines.

GEARBOXES

Seven gearboxes are available: 4manual gearboxes and 3 robotised gearboxes.
Manual gearbox with Super H pattern control: speeds 5 to 8 superimposed onto speeds 1 to 4.
Simply press the button atop the gear lever knob to move from one speed range to the other.
Servoshift takes up 75% of the effort.
These 8 speeds are split into 16 half-speeds. An electro valve protects the system from gearchanging errors.
The Driving Monitoring System gives continuous real-time display of the gear engaged and of the optimal gear. Optidriver+ (12-speed) robotised gearbox with steering-mounted controls.

CHASSIS

Broad range of wheelbases, sidemember thickness reduced to maximise payload capability or reinforced to handle severe applications.

• Configurations: 4x2, 6x2, 6x4 and 8x4 rigids and 4x2 and 6x4 tractors.
• Wide choice of tyres.

CABS

3 cab versions adapted to the needs and applications of your profession.

• Day Cab (2 or 3 steps): 1.6mdeep, flat or normal roof, for optimised bodybuilding and a compact vehicle.
• Global Cab (2 steps): 2 m deep, normal roof. Four trim levels to ensure the vehicle is perfectly suited to the customer’s needs.
• Sleeper Cab (2 or 3 steps): 2.2 m deep, flat or normal roof, for maximum comfort. The raised Sleeper Cab (3 steps), 2.2mdeep is perfect for long-haul transport and can also accommodate two drivers onboard.

BRAKES

APM (Air Product Management), electronic air system management.
Front and rear disc brakes throughout the range, giving the vehicle the best brakes on the market, allowing for unrivalled maintenance and delivering brake pad life of 350 000 km.

EBS (Electronic Braking System), electronically-controlled air brake system that adjusts the brake pressure applied to each wheel to match road adherence conditions.

EBS+: ABS, emergency braking assistance, ASR, engine brake management, hill-start management, differential lock control, brake pad wear balancing system, brake failure alert. Even braking, traction test.

EBS Full: EBS+ functions and ESP (stability control and anti-rollover control).

Optibrake (optional) combines exhaust braking integrated into the engine and the compression brake.

RETARDERS

Intarder for manual gearbox, hydraulic retarder fully integrated into the gearbox.

VOITH (optional) for robotised gearbox.

Coupling of the different braking systems: service brakes, engine brake, retarders.
The retarders may be coupled to the brake pedal.

SUSPENSIONS

Front mechanical suspensions
2 configurations:

• Suspensions for front loads of 7.1 t.
• Suspensions for front loads of 8 t.

Rear air suspensions with height sensor control, to maintain constant rolling height.
